ATM/Debit Card Reminders

Always use the CREDIT button at the merchant unless you want cash in addition to your purchase. Most “big box” stores allow this option with our STAR™ Debit Card. Even though this is a debit card, using the credit option moves the transaction thru the VISA© network which saves your Credit Union’s fee expense. You will save money using your debit card instead of a credit card because there is no interest and no balance to repay.

Your ATM/Debit Card can also be used for automatic payments. Your bills will be deducted right from your checking account. You must contact the company when you receive a new card and give them the new expiration date and security number from the back of the new card. You can also have your automatic payments come directly out of your checking account.
